The incident occurred on a regional road in the town of Baza. A police patrol, engaged in crime prevention and public safety duties, observed a vehicle traveling at excessive speed. The officers proceeded to stop the car and identify its driver.
During the vehicle inspection, officers noticed irregularities in the rear of the seats, with indentations and cavities beneath the upholstery. Upon removing the covers, they found two rectangular packages wrapped in transparent film, each bearing a distinctive multicolor logo of a well-known brand, containing over two kilos of cocaine.
Consequently, the driver, a 27-year-old man with numerous prior police records, was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a drug trafficking offense. The seized cocaine will be destroyed. Judicial authorities have ordered the detainee's imprisonment.
