The Provincial Council of Granada has announced an investment of 150,000 euros for the renovation of two key sports courts in the municipality of Cúllar. The project will focus on the facilities at the municipal sports center and the CEIP Mures, aiming to enhance the quality of spaces for sports practice.
The total investment for these projects amounts to 185,185.19 euros. Of this sum, the Provincial Council of Granada will contribute 150,000 euros, while the Cúllar City Council will cover the remaining 35,185.19 euros. The Deputy for Sports and Sports Facilities, Eric Escobedo, highlighted the importance of this investment in providing residents with better conditions for sports.
Escobedo emphasized that the Provincial Plan for Sports Facilities is an essential tool for collaborating with city councils. In Cúllar, these funds will enable the two renovated courts to continue serving as meeting points, fostering community, and promoting physical activity, especially for young people.
The mayor of Cúllar, Ana Belén López, expressed gratitude for the provincial institution's support. She noted that the works are "very necessary" and that the projects are nearly finalized, ready to be submitted to the Council for review and prompt execution.
These improvements will modernize the condition of both courts, facilitating their use by the residents of Cúllar and the educational community of CEIP Mures, thereby offering more suitable facilities for various sports disciplines.
