The new sweeper, with a storage capacity of up to five cubic meters, will enable faster and more effective cleaning of larger urban areas. The vehicle is equipped with specialized tools, such as a large-caliber suction hose for collecting leaves and paper, and a pressure washer for tough residues.
The presentation was attended by the mayor, Pedro J. Ramos, councilors José Antonio Valdivieso and Rafael Azor, and representatives from the company Valoriza, including service employees.
This new vehicle joins the two smaller flexible sweepers already operating on narrower streets, one of which features a scrubbing platform. The urban cleaning fleet also includes three electric tricycles, an electric cleaning cart, an electric cart with an integrated scooter, electric leaf blowers, and a brush cutter.
Councilor responsible for cleaning, José Antonio Valdivieso, highlighted that this new sweeper "completes an agile, effective device suited to our city's conditions," emphasizing the municipal investment to keep Baza clean and tidy, while also calling for citizen cooperation.
In addition to cleaning, the Baza City Council is also improving waste collection with the upcoming addition of a new side-loading collection truck, a truck for organic waste, and a container-carrying satellite truck, which will complement the four trucks currently in service.
