The Lady of Baza Week 2026 will offer a wide program of cultural and participatory events, many of them free, organized by the Baza City Council, through the Department of Tourism and Culture, and the Iberian Association for the Lady of Baza. The celebration coincides with the 55th anniversary of the discovery of this important Iberian sculpture.
The events include the awards ceremony for the Lady of Baza Awards, which this year will recognize the “José Salinas” Professional Conservatory of Music with the Culture award and Manuel Vázquez Medel with the International Poetry Award. The program will also feature the traditional Iberian market, a parade, a concert by “Rodríguez Celtic Band”, the ritual of the Lady of Baza's cremation, and visits to archaeological sites.
On Thursday, July 23, the awards gala will begin in the Patio del Palacio de los Marqueses de Cadimo. On Friday, July 24, there will be a conference on Iberian mercenaries, an astronomy workshop, and an Iberian dinner with a show. On Saturday, July 25, the Iberian market will open in the Parque de la Alameda, there will be children's games, a guided tour of the CICI, an Iberian parade, and the concert by “Rodríguez Celtic Band”. On Sunday, July 26, guided tours of the archaeological sites and the ritual of the Lady of Baza's cremation will take place at the CIYA Parking.
