The Baza City Council and the municipality's Business Association are collaborating once again to offer a varied, high-quality, and professional shopping experience in the city. The new edition of the 'Noche en Blanco' (White Night) will take place on Monday, August 3rd, aiming to attract customers to local businesses.
During this event, shops will keep their doors open until midnight, also offering special deals, discounts, and irresistible promotions to encourage purchases. The initiative seeks not only to boost sales but also to allow citizens to better understand the local offerings and product quality.
To liven up the evening, the City Council has prepared a program of activities spread throughout the urban center. Several streets will be closed to vehicular traffic to facilitate pedestrian flow and activities: Avenida José de Mora (from Virgen del Saliente), Calle Alamillos, Calle Dolores, Calle Fueros de Baza, and Calle Enrique Enríquez. Access to the public parking will be permitted via Calle Rubén Darío. The traffic direction on Calle Antonio Machado will also be modified.
Musical entertainment will be provided by two street bands, parades with costumed figures, and a batucada. There will also be a theatrical performance by MasDrama featuring illuminated giant figures. Various associations and groups will participate at key points: the Plaza Mayor will host commercial stands, a puppet show, and inflatables for children; the Plaza Arcipreste Juan Hernández will feature performances by dance schools; educational workshops will be held in Calle Cabeza, Alamillos, and Avenida José de Mora; Fueros de Baza will host a flamenco cajón master class; the Plaza José Luis Méndez will offer a painting workshop; the Plaza de San Francisco will present a circus show; and on Avenida José de Mora, there will be a DJ session.
The Multicultural Association Cascamorras Baza will participate in Plaza de San Francisco, the Local Board of the AECC in Calle Alamillos, Cáritas Baza near the municipal parking, and Cruz Roja in Plaza Serrano. The City Council will enhance the ambiance with extraordinary decorations, balloons, and a photo booth.
The presentation of the event was attended by the president of the Business Association of Altiplano de Granada, José Antonio Lucha, the mayor of Baza, Pedro J. Ramos, representatives from the Business Association of Commerce, and the Councilor for Commerce, José Antonio Valdivieso. All expressed confidence in the success of the night for Baza's commerce, viewing it as an opportunity for businesses to gain more visibility and strengthen their position in a challenging economic climate.
