The National Police reported this Thursday the arrest of six individuals allegedly involved in an attempted homicide related to a stabbing that occurred last Wednesday on the central Alameda de Colón street, in Malaga.
The incident took place around 7:20 PM, in broad daylight and in a busy area. According to police sources, the victim was stabbed multiple times by a man accompanied by others. After an initial attack, the victim tried to flee but was again reached by the assailants, who later fled in two vehicles.
Initially, three people were arrested, but the investigation has concluded with the apprehension of six individuals. Four were arrested in the provincial capital, with the collaboration of the Local Police, while the other two were arrested on the A-45 highway, near the municipality of Antequera.
The six detainees face charges of attempted homicide. Authorities have indicated that the victim, who has since been discharged from the hospital, and the alleged perpetrators know each other due to a violent legal dispute.
