The Andalusian Regional Government firefighting service has completed operations in Almería, Almonte, Minas de Riotinto, Pizarra, and Adamuz. These efforts have successfully brought five of the eight fires affecting the region under control.
Currently, the fire in Alhama de Granada remains the primary focus. To manage the situation, authorities have deployed three medium-heavy helicopters, four forest firefighter groups, two reinforcement brigades, operations technicians, environmental agents, and three fire engines.
Meanwhile, the Infoca Plan continues liquidation work in areas where fires have already been controlled, such as Adamuz and Almadén de la Plata. Teams are working on-site to secure the perimeter and prevent any potential flare-ups.
The day also saw a new incident in Lanjarón, specifically in the Jaral de Cálar area, where an emergency response team including aerial and ground units was activated at 1:00 PM to contain the flames.
