The mayor of San Roque, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, and the CEO of ARCGISA, Manuel Abellán San Román, have presented the new vehicle. This truck is specially equipped to work with bilateral loading containers, improving the efficiency of cleaning and maintenance operations.
The acquisition is part of a collaboration agreement signed between the General State Administration, through the Ministry of Finance, the Mancomunidad de Municipios del Campo de Gibraltar, and the San Roque City Council. The agreement includes a subsidy of 1,067,000 euros for infrastructure related to waste management and water cycle.
In addition to the container washer, the agreement also covers the purchase of two urban waste collection trucks with dual biogas and diesel engines, at a cost of 367,000 euros.
The new truck, with a maximum authorized mass of 22 tons, features a robotic crane, a box lifting system, and a detachable washing unit. It can also be used for waste collection by installing detachable compactor boxes.
This service will cover the 229 existing bilateral collection routes in San Roque, distributed across three routes for residual and organic waste, totaling a containerized capacity of 549 cubic meters.
