The head of the City Council's Commerce Department, Leticia Barragán Herrera, has revealed the specifics of this initiative, designed to value the trajectory and contribution of the municipality's commercial sector. The gala will take place on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 9:00 PM in the Gardens of the Pedro Bueno House Museum.
During the event, awards will be presented in eight different categories, although the recipients of these honors are yet to be announced. The categories include 'Commerce that Unites', 'Commercial Legacy', 'Villa del Río to the World', 'New Horizons' (for both male and female entrepreneurship), 'Woman, Trajectory, and Commerce', 'Essence of the Market', and 'Woman Advances'.
Under the slogan 'Commerce, Effort, and Local Life', the gala aims to become a space to honor those who, through their daily work, strengthen the commerce of Villa del Río. A cocktail reception will follow the ceremony for attendees.
Access to the gala will be by invitation only, which are currently being distributed to local businesses. The Commerce Department emphasizes the importance of confirming attendance to facilitate the event's organization, which seeks to celebrate the stories and commitment of those who invest in the town's development.
