This measure is being implemented while repair and renovation works continue on the railway infrastructure, carried out by Adif, affecting a wide corridor between Castellar and Almargen.
Under the new scheme, passengers originating from or destined for Algeciras and San Roque-La Línea will travel by bus to Malaga, then complete their journey to Madrid by high-speed train. Travelers from Ronda will continue to connect by road between Antequera-Santa Ana and Ronda, linking with railway services to Madrid.
Schedules are also changing. From May 1, departures from Madrid will be at 8:30, while from Algeciras station, departures are scheduled for 16:03. Exceptionally, on April 30, passengers bound for Algeciras and intermediate stations will depart from Madrid at 9:50.
This reorganization coincides with the reestablishment of direct high-speed services to and from Malaga, following the return to normal circulation after disruptions caused by adverse weather. The railway company has announced that it maintains the option for free changes and cancellations for tickets affected by this service reorganization.
