The Temporary Union of Companies (UTE), formed by the construction company Construcciones Calderón and the design and museography studio Reina de Corazones, will be responsible for executing the works. This business alliance specializes in the rehabilitation of historical spaces and their subsequent museographic outfitting.
The project includes the creation of a museum route within the building. Several exhibition spaces will be installed to house pieces from the Pepe Cabrera Bullfighting Museum, including costumes, posters, paintings, and other elements linked to bullfighting activities. An area will also be dedicated to artistic and musical events held in the square in recent years.
The works will involve improvements in accessibility and thermal comfort in the various rooms where the museographic content will be located, as well as interventions in the flooring to facilitate connection between interior and exterior spaces. Adjustments to openings will also be made according to the needs of the exhibition route.
The execution of this project is fundamental to adapt the facilities, equip them with the necessary exhibition elements, and enhance the historical and cultural heritage linked to the city's bullfighting tradition, offering a space for knowledge and dissemination accessible to both citizens and visitors.
The works will be carried out with the support of the Provincial Council of Cádiz, which also financed the preliminary work with funds from the so-called Cádiz Marcha plan.
