The reception also included the delegate councilor for Sports, Alejandro Rodríguez, and the club's president, Abel Salas.
The club's management will enable the city to host a European Beach Sprint Championship next September, a discipline that will be an Olympic sport in the upcoming Los Angeles Games.
The mayor emphasized the municipality's geographical location and the club's contribution to placing La Línea on the nautical sports map, also acknowledging the work of the Sports delegation. Councilor Alejandro Rodríguez praised the club's extraordinary sporting trajectory.
For his part, Abel Salas highlighted the value of the medals won at the Spanish Championship held in Seville, describing it as a great regatta marked by effort, teamwork, and commitment from the two young athletes.
