Nacho Pastor, 36 years old and originally from Cordoba, becomes Miki Ortega's successor at the helm of the Algeciras team. The club thus confirms the technical direction for the next campaign, in which the team will compete again in Segunda FEB after achieving promotion.
The new coach arrives from Coto Córdoba CB, an entity where he has spent much of his career, particularly in youth development and training teams. His experience includes collaborations with the Colegio Virgen del Carmen and various provincial teams, in both youth and senior categories.
During the 2022-23 season, Pastor joined the coaching staff of CB Córdoba in the National category. He later took on responsibilities as head coach of the first team from February 2025 until the end of the season, securing the Córdoba club's permanence in the league, where they finished tenth with 12 victories.
Last season, Nacho Pastor continued his work at Coto Córdoba CB, serving as assistant coach to Gonzalo Rodríguez Palmeiro. His background also includes physical preparation, and he has been affiliated with the Andalusian Basketball Federation.
The Algeciras club had previously announced the contract renewals of point guard Berni García and forward Roy Mendes, and further player continuations are expected to be confirmed in the coming days.
