The mayor of La Línea de la Concepción, Juan Franco, met with representatives of the Alcaidesa Playa Compensation Board to plan future municipal actions in this area. The meeting aimed to schedule a significant municipal economic investment for public service improvements and to facilitate the transition from the current board to an urban conservation entity.
During the session, the maintenance and modernization of Alcaidesa Playa's facilities and infrastructure were discussed. The local administration committed to allocating a substantial budget for various improvements, with specific projects to be announced after consensus with the board, prioritizing the most urgent neighborhood demands.
The process of converting the Compensation Board into an urban conservation entity was a central topic. Following analysis by the involved municipal delegations and the urbanization's spokespersons, a definitive agreement was reached on the duration of this future management figure, set at twenty years within the new statutes currently being drafted. "We have reached an agreement for the future urban conservation entity to have a duration of twenty years. We believe this is a sufficient period for the City Council to see its economic-financial situation improved and to be able to face with full guarantees the expenses of the services it would have to start providing directly in the urbanization from that date onwards," stated the mayor.
Juan Franco expressed his satisfaction with the meeting, highlighting its importance for the municipality's budgetary stability and for addressing the demands of residents in this representative urbanization.
Both parties have scheduled another meeting between September and October to formally present the projects to be developed and to finalize the drafting of the statutes.
