The mayor, accompanied by the Councilor for Education, Santos Martín, praised Parody's university trajectory, calling it "impressive" and expressing the city's pride in having professionals of her caliber.
Lucía Parody, educated at Huerta Fava school and Tolosa institute in the city, holds a degree in Primary Education Teaching (Inclusive School) and two master's degrees: in Social Change and Psychopedagogy. Her research career was solidified by a University Professor Training contract from the Ministry of Universities, enabling her to complete her doctoral thesis at the UMA.
Currently, Parody teaches undergraduate and master's courses at the International University of La Rioja (UNIR) and the UNED, balancing this with her work at the UMA. She is also a member of the Research Group in Inclusive Educational Innovation and Development, deputy director of the academic journal IGNE from the UMA, and participates in the University for Seniors program at the Málaga institution. Additionally, she has conducted research stays at universities in Granada, Faro (Portugal), and Naples (Italy).
