A man lost his life this Friday on the Cadiz coastline after experiencing severe difficulties exiting the water. The incident occurred on Torreguadiaro beach, a district belonging to the municipality of San Roque, in the province of Cádiz.
The 112 Andalusia Emergency service received an alert call around 2:00 PM, reporting a swimmer in the sea with serious difficulties returning to shore. Emergency medical services, maritime rescue, and security forces were immediately dispatched.
The day's weather conditions, with a yellow alert for adverse coastal phenomena, strong wind gusts, and intense waves, complicated the situation in the Campo de Gibraltar region.
According to sources from the Guardia Civil, rescue teams managed to pull the man from the water and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) maneuvers on the sand. Despite their efforts, his death could only be confirmed at the scene.
