The final event of the XII Andalusian Fixed-Seat Rowing League, the Andalusian Championship, took place in Málaga last weekend. Despite adverse weather conditions that forced program adjustments, the competition was held at La Malagueta Beach, gathering nearly 600 athletes from eleven clubs across the provinces of Málaga and Cádiz.
The Remo Algeciras Rowing Club finished its league participation in tenth place. The hosts, Real Club Mediterráneo de Málaga, dominated the final day and were crowned league champions, a competition that began in October of the previous year. The Málaga club secured two gold medals, one silver, and one bronze, excelling in the mixed absolute and female cadet categories.
The league's runner-up title went to the Club de Remo La Cala del Moral, which earned a silver in the female cadet category, while the Club de Remo Pedregalejo secured a bronze in the mixed absolute event. In other categories, a mixed boat from Club de Remo Torremolinos and La Cala del Moral won the direct male cadet final, and Real Club Mediterráneo added two more victories in the veterans' category.
The final standings of the XII Andalusian Fixed-Seat League saw Real Club Mediterráneo as the winner, followed by Real Club El Candado and C.D. IES El Palo. The Remo Algeciras Rowing Club secured the tenth spot among the eleven participants. Concurrently, the BCS Trophy, dedicated to women who have overcome breast cancer, was won by C.D. Remo Pedregalejo.
