The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts a predominantly sunny week in the Campo de Gibraltar. Starting from Wednesday, July 15th, a significant rise in temperatures is expected, accompanied by the persistence of the westerly wind.
In the Bay of Algeciras, thermometers will register highs between 34 and 35 degrees Celsius from Wednesday onwards. On the preceding days, Monday and Tuesday, highs will not exceed 31 degrees. Minimum temperatures will range between 19 and 21 degrees Celsius over the next few days.
In Tarifa, the influence of the westerly wind, which is cooler as it comes directly from the Atlantic, will moderate temperatures. Nevertheless, the mercury could reach 30 degrees Celsius on Friday. Minimum temperatures will range between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius in the coming days.
The inland areas of the region will experience the most significant heat. Highs are predicted to peak on Saturday at 41 degrees Celsius, although 40 degrees Celsius is already anticipated for Wednesday. Early mornings will be notably cooler, with minimums of 14 and 16 degrees Celsius on Monday and Tuesday, and around 18-19 degrees Celsius for the rest of the week.
