Despite being relegated last season, the albirrojo reserve team has avoided a freefall thanks to an administrative decision. Algeciras B finished in direct relegation spots in the 2025/26 season, occupying fourteenth place with 30 points from 30 matches, with 8 wins, 6 draws, and 16 losses, and a goal difference of 32 for and 60 against.
The Cádiz Delegation has announced the groups for the upcoming season, introducing significant changes. The withdrawal of Puerto Real CF has led to a reconfiguration that expands the Second Senior Andalusian Division of Cádiz from 16 to 18 teams. The group will feature several teams from the Campo de Gibraltar region, including the reserve team of Real Balompédica Linense, with whom a regional mini-classic will be replayed.
Among the teams forming the new category are CD Jédula, CD Olvera, UD Tesorillo, GE Bazán, CD Vejer Balompié, CV Piel de Ubrique 2023, Chipiona CF, UD Roteña (relegated from Primera Andaluza), Athletic Jimena (re-entered after relegation), Recreativo Puente Mayorga, CD San Fernando 1940, UD Bornense, and CD Benalup (promoted from Tercera Andaluza), in addition to Atlético Pastores de Algeciras and CD Sanlúcar (re-entered from Tercera Andaluza).
The group will have a strong presence from the Campo de Gibraltar with up to six participants. Algeciras B will also face Atlético Pastores in a local derby, with both clubs sharing the same ground at the Juan Gandiaga facilities. The inclusion of CD San Fernando 1940, the successor team to the historic San Fernando Isleño which competed in Primera Federación, adds further excitement to the league.
Furthermore, the youth team of Algeciras CF achieved promotion to the Liga Nacional Juvenil, a category considered appropriate for a club of its stature. The youth team will compete in Group XIV, being the sole representative from the region in this league, although Atlético Zabal de La Línea will participate in the División de Honor.
