The pursuit continued through the narrow streets of Algeciras's Lower Zone until two motorcycle officers from the Local Police managed to stop him in Plaza Joaquín Ibáñez.
After being forcibly removed from the car, he was arrested amidst significant public attention, alerted by the sirens of the police patrols that gathered in the area. He was then taken to the headquarters of the National Police Station in Algeciras, awaiting his appearance before the court.
The driver faces four charges: assault on authority, driving a stolen vehicle, and two road safety offenses, for driving without a license and reckless driving.
This incident adds to other violent episodes in the La Caridad neighborhood.
