The municipal government board, chaired by Mayor José Ignacio Landaluce, has given the green light to these agreements. The first, with the Asociación Algecireña de Futbol Base, allocates 25,000 euros. The second agreement, signed with the Club Deportivo Amigos del Fútbol, amounts to 22,900 euros and will be used for the development of sports schools, federation expenses, sports insurance, and equipment.
The Deputy Mayor delegate for Sports, Jorge Juliá, highlighted that this aid is in addition to the continuous efforts of the government team to support both professional and grassroots sports. He emphasized the importance of the work carried out by these entities, which offer an alternative for leisure and promote the personal and physical development of young people.
Juliá also recalled the investments already made in converting six football fields in various neighborhoods of the city to artificial turf. He announced that this year's municipal budgets include the project to transform the El Saladillo field, as well as the renovation of the lighting at the La Menacha fields to LED technology.
The municipal objective is to provide quality sports facilities in all neighborhoods, ensuring the best conditions for young athletes. Additionally, a 50% reduction in fees for the use of sports facilities has been approved as a measure to support local clubs.
