Auxiliadora Moreno, delegate for Equality, Development Cooperation, Consumption, and Citizen Participation, highlighted the value of associative projects that involve entire municipalities, generate participation, and have a real social impact. She emphasized the Council's commitment to supporting associations like Enfoke Kreativo, which unite culture, solidarity, heritage promotion, and citizen participation.
A distinctive feature of the initiative is its solidarity: registration requires the donation of two kilos of non-perishable food, children's products, or essential items for Cáritas Parroquial and the Food Bank, instead of a monetary fee. Previous editions collected over 600 kilos of products.
Culture and citizen participation thus become tools for solidarity. The rally turns Santaella into the protagonist, inviting participants to explore its streets, monuments, and spaces to capture its heritage, landscape, and daily life, highlighting its rural identity.
The Santaella City Council collaborates by facilitating special access to sites such as the Local Historical Museum, the Parish of the Assumption, and the Sanctuary of the Valley. Residents' involvement, opening patios and balconies, reinforces the community spirit. The previous edition saw over 112 registered participants.
Photographs taken are ceded by the association to the Santaella City Council for its tourism catalog, respecting authorship. Participants will also share their images on social media using hashtags like #santaellaestuobjetivo and #santaella, enhancing the town's profile.
Cristóbal Río Bermudo, president of the Enfoke Kreativo Cultural Association, thanked the Santaella City Council for its collaboration and noted that the rally, consolidated and charitable from the start, aims to help families in need near the Christmas season. He also remembered their late member, Juan Luis Seco, in whose memory the event is held.
