The Casa de la Cultura in La Rambla will be the main venue for the THEATRUM Festival of Theater and Performing Arts 2026, a cultural event extending through October, November, and December. The festival will present a wide variety of theater, acting, music, and performing arts shows, solidifying its position as a highly anticipated event for residents.
The program includes more than twenty activities and performances, featuring companies, theater groups, and collectives from both La Rambla and other municipalities. The offerings are designed to appeal to audiences of different ages and sensibilities, fulfilling the municipal goal of expanding the town's cultural opportunities.
Rafi Hinestrosa, Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Culture, highlighted that the festival allows citizens to “enjoy different theater companies and groups visiting our town from nearby municipalities, delighting the local audience.” The council aims to revitalize the Casa de la Cultura and bring various artistic expressions closer to the community.
The edition kicks off on October 3rd with Verduritas imaginarias by Nomenescio Teatro. The lineup will continue with titles such as Lazarillo de Tormes, El soldado fanfarrón, Jornadas Mujer Rural, Sainetes, Cuentos de Andersen, Entremeses, Elisenda que todo lo cuenta, La sombra de Dña. Inés, ¡Ay Carmela!, Fetén, El Coso, and the Concierto Pasión Flamenca. Throughout November and December, performances like La máquina de hablar, Jornadas contra la violencia de género, new sessions of Entremeses, Globo y Pompa, Una Navidad de cuento, and Tiempos viejos will be added.
The City Council reaffirms its commitment to quality culture and improved infrastructure to offer a stable and diverse program. The goal is for La Rambla to maintain its presence in cultural circuits at provincial and Andalusian levels, establishing itself as an attractive destination for cultural events.
