The tragic event took place around 3:00 PM at kilometer 48 of the aforementioned road, in an area known as Fuente de la Higuera. The 112 emergency service received the alert and quickly mobilized medical and security personnel.
Civil Guard officers and members of the Montilla fire department were dispatched to the scene of the accident. The latter had to carry out extrication efforts to free the deceased victim, who was trapped in one of the vehicles involved in the crash.
The 061 Health Emergency Center also intervened, deploying a helicopter to attend to the injured. The injured woman, aged 39, was transported for medical attention.
