The extraordinary procession will take place on Saturday, September 26th, coinciding with the end of summer and the beginning of autumn, and will feature the accompaniment of the Musical Group Nuestro Padre Jesús de los Afligidos. This special event aims to spread joy among devotees in the town.
The route announced by the Resucitado brotherhood will commence at 8:45 PM. The procession will pass through streets such as Elio Antonio de Lebrija, Avenida de Europa, Isaac Peral street, and Avenida de la Estación, concluding with its arrival at the Virgen del Carmen parish church.
Prior to this, at 8:00 PM, a solemn open-air mass will be held at the Inmaculada Concepción residence, presided over by Manuel Roldán, the brotherhood's chaplain.
For this special occasion, joining the usual team of float bearers, directed by Francisco Giraldo, will be Francisco Luis Castaño from Córdoba, and Manuel Gómez from Seville.
The image of the Resurrected, dating from the 17th century, is the work of the Granada sculptor Alonso de Mena. The figure stands on a small base and a cloud, with its right hand in a blessing gesture and its left holding the banner of victory. A characteristic red mantle with a zigzag-shaped furrow partially covers its body, and its left leg is firmly planted on the ground. The image has undergone numerous restorations throughout its history.
