This extraordinary initiative, which will take place in Plaza del Ancla, comes as a response to the difficulties faced by street vendors during the winter, which prevented them from setting up their stalls regularly. The decision seeks to revitalize commercial activity and offer new opportunities for both traders and visitors.
“"To offer traders and visitors additional opportunities after several days affected by the weather."
The expansion includes the addition of an extra Saturday per month for four consecutive months. The scheduled dates are April 18, May 16, June 20, and July 18. Furthermore, to enhance comfort and encourage attendance during the warmer months, the markets in June and July will be held at night, a new feature for the town.
Joaquín Reina, Councillor for Urban Planning, Festivities, Commerce, and Agriculture, emphasized that this measure reflects the municipal commitment to local commerce and to those who make the Los Retales market a vital economic and social meeting point for Puente Genil each month.
