The initiative, carried out in collaboration with the ACANSA association, allows children from refugee camps to live with local families during the summer months. This project not only promotes cultural exchange but also ensures the children have access to specialized medical and dental check-ups.
During the event, municipal representatives highlighted the importance of citizen solidarity and the commitment of local families. It was also noted that the program serves as an opportunity to raise awareness about the situation of the refugee population and strengthen bonds of coexistence between both communities.
The vice president of ACANSA explained that, at the provincial level, 131 children are being hosted in Córdoba. The organization remains open to new families joining future editions to continue ensuring the success of this humanitarian initiative.
The children are scheduled to return to their homes on September 1st. In the meantime, the local government has reiterated its willingness to continue supporting this program, encouraging those interested in participating in future editions to contact the local coordination team.
