The Avenida del Alcázar in Córdoba hosts the 40th Montilla-Moriles Wine Tasting from Thursday, April 23 to Sunday, April 60, marking the beginning of the city's spring festivities with significant format changes.
This year, the Wine Tasting introduces a significant novelty: the elimination of the entrance ticket. Attendees will be able to purchase their wine glasses directly at the participating wineries' stands for two euros each. This measure has been well received by participants and is expected to boost public attendance, especially with the good weather forecast.
Despite a challenging agricultural season, which has resulted in fewer participating wineries and restaurants (ten wineries and five restaurants), optimism prevails. Some participants see this reduction as an opportunity for better crowd distribution and a smoother experience.

"This is our second year at the Córdoba Tasting, and I believe this is the year. We have learned from our mistakes last year and have improved distribution, for example, to avoid queues. This year will be the best I remember of the Montilla-Moriles Wine Tasting in Córdoba."
Among the innovative proposals, a centenary winery presents a stand with neon lights, seeking a more modern and attractive approach. Another main objective of the wineries is to capture the attention of young audiences. In addition, novelties such as sparkling wines and vermouths will be presented, adding to the traditional offer.

"Expectations are quite high because with fewer wineries participating, we hope that attendees will be more spread out, so we expect a lot of public."
The organizers have emphasized that all new measures aim to facilitate access and enjoyment for attendees, eliminating queues for entry and consumption. A large influx of public, both local and foreign, is expected, provided the weather conditions are favorable, consolidating the Wine Tasting as a cultural and social meeting point in Córdoba.
