A man has been arrested and sent to prison in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz) as the alleged perpetrator of a sexual assault against a 14-year-old minor. The incident took place last weekend in a busy city square.
According to the Provincial Police Station, the minor was leaving a supermarket when he was approached by the detainee. The child told the officers patrolling the area that the man, who appeared to need help, began to touch him indecently while holding him tightly.
The victim managed to break free and run towards a police patrol car entering the square. The officers assisted the minor, confirmed he had no apparent physical injuries, and located the alleged aggressor as he attempted to leave the scene.
After collecting testimony from the victim and several witnesses, and gathering evidence, the police proceeded with the individual's arrest. The officers calmed the minor and notified his parents, who quickly arrived and took charge of their son.
