The incident took place around 7:20 AM when a truck veered off the road and overturned in the median, heading towards Bailén. Emergency teams recovered the lifeless body of the driver, who was trapped under the vehicle.

The injured woman, after being attended at the scene by medical services from 061, was evacuated to the hospital in Andújar.

Upon receiving the alert at the 1-1-2 control room, units from the Guardia Civil de Tráfico, the 061 Health Emergency Center, the Andújar Firefighters, and Road Maintenance personnel were dispatched.

The accident necessitated the closure of one lane of the highway during the operations to attend to the scene and remove the damaged vehicle.
