A total of 47 meteorological stations from Aemet exceeded 40 degrees across the national territory. The agency's spokesperson, José Luis Camacho, detailed that the highest temperatures were concentrated in the interior of Galicia, the valleys of Guadalquivir, Guadiana, and Tajo, and the Valencian Community.
Following Andújar, other locations with significant readings included Ribadavia (Ourense) at 42.9 degrees, Montoro (Córdoba) at 42.5 degrees, and the city of Ourense at 42.1 degrees. In the Valencian Community, Jalance reached 41.3 degrees and Xàtiva 40.9.
Regarding minimum temperatures, although they slightly decreased compared to previous days, tropical nights persisted in much of the Mediterranean coast and isolated inland areas. Torrid nights were experienced in coastal spots like Cabo de Gata (Almería), Barcelona-Drassanes, and Alcoy (Alicante), where thermometers marked 27.4 degrees.
Precipitation was scarce and of little relevance, with Morella (Castellón) recording a maximum of 5.8 liters per square meter in one hour. Light rains were registered on the Cantabrian coast, such as 0.5 liters in Estaca de Bares (A Coruña).
The strongest wind gusts occurred on the peaks of Sierra Nevada, in the Canary Islands, and on coastal areas of the Mediterranean and Atlantic, as well as due to convective phenomena in Andalusia. Camacho noted a gust of 74.5 kilometers per hour in Sierra Nevada.
