The council, through the Festejos (Festivities) Department, has announced a program aimed at enhancing local equestrian culture and the role of clubs and associations. Councilor Antonio Torres stressed that the world of horses is a hallmark of Andújar, bringing significant visual, economic, and job creation value to the fair.
Among the key events is the XXV Carriage Competition, organized in collaboration with the Peña Los Romeros club, which reaches its twenty-fifth edition, establishing itself as a major attraction. The 47th Horseback Ribbon Race will also be held, a deeply rooted tradition scheduled for the Sunday of the fair.
The Andújar Equestrian Cultural Association is organizing the Horse Parade, which will tour the city streets to the fairgrounds. In the previous edition, this initiative saw between 150 and 200 riders participate, an image that, according to Torres, generates great anticipation and highlights the equestrian tradition.
The program will conclude with the Hitch Exhibition, expecting around 50 participants, marking the end of the horse-related activities for the Fair of Andújar. The councilor emphasized Andújar's strong connection to equestrian culture throughout the year and the importance of collaboration between the City Council and associative groups to promote it.
