The intervention, entrusted to the specialized company Ágora. Conservación del Patrimonio, will address the entire monument. It will focus on removing graffiti, including a red one on the front, as well as other paint residues and damage to the sculpture's pedestal.

Additionally, mortar will be replaced in necessary areas, and green oxidations typical of bronze will be removed. The project also involves chromatic reintegration in parts that require it to restore the overall uniformity of the piece.
The Santa Ángela de la Cruz monument was erected to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the arrival of the Sisters of the Cross in Cádiz. The sculpture depicts the congregation's founder, dressed in her habit, and is dedicated to her welfare work with people in need.
This action is part of the municipal initiatives for the conservation of the city's urban and monumental heritage. Plaza de las Viudas, located in the historic center, is a common thoroughfare, and the presence of graffiti had caused a noticeable aesthetic deterioration of the monument in recent months. The Consistory aims to restore the piece to its original condition and halt the progression of the detected damage.
