This significant investment will focus on improving Playa de la Victoria and Playa de Santa María del Mar, which will receive 40,000 cubic meters of sand. This measure aims to mitigate the damage caused by winter storms and is scheduled for mid-May.
In addition to sand replenishment, new machinery is expected to arrive next week. These machines will join those already used by the City Council for sand leveling, ensuring the coastline is in optimal condition for the start of the high season.
“"This state investment adds to all the work being carried out by the Cadiz City Council, as part of a plan that anticipates the summer."
The beach pre-season began last Palm Sunday and will run until May 31. During this period, services have been expanded, including, for the first time, lifeguard service at Playa de Santa María del Mar during Holy Week.
Services have also started operating at Playa de La Caleta and the central module of Playa Victoria, with hours from 12:00 to 17:00 on weekdays and 12:00 to 18:00 on weekends. Among the improvements implemented is the installation of new surveillance towers at these three locations, which facilitate safer and more accessible entry for lifeguards.
