The White Tides movement in Cádiz brought together thousands of people in a march that started from Asdrúbal Square to denounce the "double standard" of the Popular Party and the "biggest health crisis" in the region.

Under the slogan 'More business in healthcare, more mortality,' the mobilization gathered healthcare professionals, social organizations, unions, political parties, and citizens. This protest was replicated in all eight provincial capitals of Andalusia, with an estimated attendance of 2,000 people in Cádiz, according to data from the National Police.

"We are not witnessing the dismantling of public healthcare; rather, the system has already been dismantled, and what we ask is for it to be restored and rebuilt, because more and more scientific reports show that privatization and waiting times are increasing population mortality."

Antonio Vergara · Spokesperson for Marea Blanca de Cádiz
David de la Cruz, spokesperson for Adelante Izquierda Gaditana, directly blamed Juanma Moreno for the current situation, citing waits of up to 40 days for medical appointments and 410 days for surgeries in the province. He emphasized that the "biggest public health crisis" has been evident in breast cancer screenings and stated that public healthcare would not recover "as long as the Popular Party is not removed."
Meanwhile, Juan Cornejo, Organization Secretary of the PSOE of Cádiz and head of the list for the Andalusian Parliament, criticized the "double standard" of the Andalusian Government, accusing it of "strangling the public system to favor private agreements." Cornejo contrasted this management with the Public Healthcare Rescue Plan presented by María Jesús Montero, which promises to eliminate waiting lists by law and guarantee primary care within 48 hours.

"We are here today because we cannot allow Moreno to continue destroying what took us 30 years to build. Doctors are shunning the SAS due to poor conditions, and families in Cádiz are desperate in an organizational labyrinth that only seeks to push them towards private healthcare."

Juan Cornejo · Organization Secretary of the PSOE of Cádiz
The socialist plan, according to Cornejo, will inject an additional 3 billion euros annually, raising investment to 2,350 euros per inhabitant, and will incorporate 18,000 new professionals. It will also include free oral health care for children and the elderly. Cornejo concluded by calling on citizens to defend a model of "direct management and dignity," ensuring that "health will once again be a guaranteed right and not a matter of meritocracy by card."
