After a few days of gray skies and light rainfall, the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) confirms that rain will return with more intensity on Thursday morning. However, starting Friday, a progressive temperature increase is expected, culminating in a weekend of full sunshine and highs that will once again comfortably exceed 30 degrees Celsius.
The Bay of Cadiz area has been the most affected by recent rains, accumulating 7.3 liters per square meter in the capital. San Fernando and Chiclana recorded close to 5.4 liters. On the coast of La Janda, precipitation was more moderate, with about 4.4 liters in Conil, Vejer, and Barbate. The countryside and central province received only 2.5 liters, while Tarifa and Campo de Gibraltar saw no rain.
Tuesday and Wednesday will offer a general respite with clear skies and pleasant temperatures, around 26 degrees Celsius in Cadiz and San Fernando, and approaching 30 in the Campiña and Sierra. Nevertheless, instability will return on Thursday morning, with a probability of rain exceeding 55% across most of the province. Locations like Vejer, Tarifa, and Barbate will face a 70% to 80% risk of precipitation.
The good news is that after the front passes on Thursday midday, the skies will clear, ushering in a stable and hot weekend. Arcos de la Frontera will lead the thermometers, reaching 35 degrees Celsius on Saturday and Sunday, followed by Jerez de la Frontera with 34 degrees. On the coast, temperatures will be slightly milder due to the sea breeze, with highs of 29 degrees on Saturday and 28 on Sunday in Cadiz capital and San Fernando.
