The project, set to run throughout the 2026-27 academic year, will be implemented in faculties and schools across the campuses of Cadiz, Jerez, Puerto Real, and Bahía de Algeciras. This initiative, coordinated by various university centers with the collaboration of the Psychological and Psychopedagogical Support Service, aims to primarily support the adaptation of students beginning their higher education studies.
Students from higher years wishing to participate as mentors must be enrolled for the 2026-27 academic year. Before commencing their duties, they will receive specific training on university resources and services, delivered by technical and teaching staff.
Registration to join the program as a mentor is open until June 30 via the link provided by the academic institution. Mentors will guide new students on practical aspects such as study organization, subjects, exams, and available university services at each center.
In addition to guidance, participation in the 'Acompáñame UCA' program offers academic recognition. Those who complete the planned activities and obligations can earn two ECTS credits for complementary activities in their undergraduate studies.
The initiative will be implemented in various faculties and schools, including Nursing and Physiotherapy, Economic and Business Sciences, Labor Sciences, Philosophy and Letters, Social and Communication Sciences, Law, Education Sciences, Sciences, the Higher School of Engineering, the Higher Technical School of Engineering of Algeciras, and the Higher Technical School of Naval and Oceanic Engineering.
Through this program, the University of Cadiz reinforces its welcoming actions for undergraduate students, preparing for the start of the 2026-27 academic year.
