The initiative by the Government of Spain allows young people turning 18 in 2026 to access 400 euros to spend on various cultural content and products. Applications for this edition, which features novelties, can be processed until next October 31st.
To apply for the Bono Cultural Joven, it is necessary to register on the official website and create an account with a verifiable email address and a secure password. Additionally, users must have a digital identification system such as Cl@ve or a digital certificate to sign and submit the application.
There are two methods for processing the application: the applicant themselves, if over 18, can do so with Cl@ve (basic or advanced) or a digital certificate. If the applicant has not yet turned 18 at the time of application, Cl@ve with advanced registration and in-person processing is required. Alternatively, a legal representative can submit the application by attaching the legal representation form downloadable from the website.
A notable novelty for 2026 includes two usage modalities for the 400 euros, which must be chosen during the application and cannot be changed later. The first modality allows distributing the amount among performing arts and audiovisuals, cultural heritage, and artistic creation media (up to 200 euros), physical cultural products like books or video games (up to 100 euros), and digital or online consumption such as platform subscriptions (up to 100 euros).
The second modality, entirely new, permits dedicating the full 400 euros to cultural courses and workshops (in-person and online), musical instruments, or artistic creation media and materials.
The Bono Cultural Joven must be used in establishments affiliated with the Ministry of Culture initiative. Online purchases of physical products require in-store pickup. Subscriptions to digital platforms are limited to four months. Returns only allow exchanges for products of equal or greater value, not refunds. Misuse may lead to the card being blocked.
