The humanitarian organization has initiated a new edition of its Gold Raffle, a well-established event celebrating its 47th anniversary this year. The initiative is presented as an opportunity for citizens to contribute to the entity's work, which ranges from emergency response to daily support for vulnerable individuals.
The raffle, whose motto is 'What we do for people is gold', expands its prizes this year and introduces personalized tickets featuring images of volunteers. Participation costs 6 euros per ticket, and the funds raised are crucial for sustaining the more than one thousand activity points that the Red Cross maintains across the country.
“"We do invisible but necessary work. This daily and constant effort focuses on connecting people, accompanying them in moments of loneliness and vulnerability, and offering second chances."
One of the most notable features of this campaign in the province of Cádiz is that 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales are reinvested directly into the same province. This policy ensures that the resources raised immediately benefit the local community, allowing the Red Cross to act swiftly in response to emerging needs.
In the previous edition, the province of Cádiz managed to raise 547,000 euros, a figure that represented significant support for the various causes addressed by the organization. This year, 13 million tickets will be distributed throughout Spain, with a total of 7 million euros in prizes, including a top prize of 3 million euros. As a novelty, 12-euro prizes have been added to ensure that luck and collaboration reach a greater number of people.
The raffle will take place on July 23 in Granada. Beyond the monetary prizes, the organization emphasizes that the true value of this initiative lies in its ability to transform lives and offer hope to those who need it most.
