The National Police, in collaboration with the Attached Unit of the National Police of the Junta de Andalucía in Cádiz, intervened in a nightlife establishment in Costa Ballena, which connects the municipalities of Rota and Chipiona. During the inspection, several administrative irregularities were detected.
Officers verified that the venue, with a maximum authorized capacity of 315 people, had pre-sold 600 tickets, significantly exceeding its permitted capacity. This led to a large concentration of people at the entrance, causing tense moments that required police intervention to ensure safety.
It was also found that two emergency exits were blocked, compromising evacuation conditions. Furthermore, music from inside the venue was clearly audible from the public street, and the terrace was operating outside authorized hours.
All detected irregularities were recorded in official reports to be sent to the competent administrative authority. The operation, organized by the Police Unit Attached to the Autonomous Community of Andalusia in Cádiz, involved officers from the National Police Station in Rota.
These joint operations aim to verify compliance with regulations for public shows and recreational activities, enhance attendee safety, and ensure that entertainment venues operate under authorized conditions, with a special focus on the protection of minors and the prevention of alcohol consumption by them.
