The province of Cadiz welcomes the month of August this Saturday with an important warning due to high temperatures. The orange warning will affect the entire interior of the province, from the Campiña gaditana to the Sierra, with maximums that could reach 42 degrees in Andalusia. All Andalusian provinces, except Almería, have heat warnings.
According to information from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), the orange warning will be active between 13:00 and 21:00 in the campiña gaditana, including municipalities such as Jerez, Arcos, Medina, and Paterna. In the Sierra de Cádiz, the warning will be yellow, although temperatures could also reach 40 degrees.
In the coastal area, despite the considerable humidity, no warnings are active. Maximum temperatures in the Bay of Cadiz will be around 30 degrees this Saturday.
The heatwave is expected to end this Saturday. On Sunday, a change to westerly winds and a drop in temperatures are forecast for much of Andalusia, except for the Mediterranean strip, with some local increases. For Sunday and Monday, there are no active heat warnings in the province of Cadiz. On Sunday, there will be a yellow warning in areas of Cordoba, Seville, Malaga, and Almería, and on Monday it will be limited to the Sol y Guadalorce region in Malaga.
