The municipality of Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo will once again host the Professor Francisco Santisteban Intergenerational Center, an initiative by the University of Córdoba, for the 2026/2027 academic year. This educational program aims to provide lifelong learning opportunities for people of all ages, covering areas such as culture, society, literature, history, and new technologies.
The program is divided into two semesters. The first will include sessions on Philosophy, culture, and society on Wednesdays, and on Artificial intelligence in daily life: practical and responsible uses on Thursdays. In the second semester, Tuesdays will be dedicated to Authors and texts for the history of Spanish literature, with overviews of the 20th century, while Wednesdays will focus on Contemporary Spanish history through various cultural manifestations, from the 19th to the 20th century.
Additionally, online English training will be offered, with beginner and intermediate levels. In-person registration will take place on September 24, 2026, between 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM. It will also be possible to register online using a QR code available on the information poster.
The course will be held at the CEIP San José de Calasanz, starting on October 21, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. For more information and registration, interested individuals can visit the Municipal Library, located at Avenida José Simón de Lillo, s/n.
The City Council encourages citizens to participate in this initiative that brings university education closer to Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo, promoting lifelong learning and the intergenerational exchange of knowledge and experiences.
