A total of 2,587 candidates are summoned in the province of Cádiz for the teacher examinations commencing on June 20, as part of the Andalusian offer for 5,047 positions.

The selection process for the teaching body in the province of Cádiz will begin on Saturday, June 20. This call is part of the regional offer aiming to fill 5,047 positions in various specialties of Secondary Education, Music and Performing Arts, and Vocational Training, unfolding over the coming weeks.
At the Andalusian level, participation amounts to 21,366 candidates. For organizational purposes, 323 tribunals have been established, with 39 operating in Cádiz, comprising 1,615 career civil servants. The total offer includes 5,015 new entry positions and 32 from the disability reserve, distributed across 66 specialties.
The positions stem from the Public Employment Offers of 2023, 2024, and 2026, and correspond to the replacement rate for retirements, transfers, or other departures. The exams will be held at the eight public Andalusian universities, which are providing their facilities. Concurrently, selection tests will be conducted for career civil servants in sub-group A2 with at least six years of service, with an offer of 120 positions.
The first test, starting on June 20, will assess specific knowledge through a practical and a written theoretical part. Some specialties will have their practical component on subsequent days at educational centers. The second test will evaluate pedagogical aptitude and the necessary teaching techniques, including the presentation and defense of a didactic program and a didactic unit.
To pass each test, a minimum score of five out of ten is required. The opposition phase will extend through July, concluding at the end of the month. Subsequently, the 'concurso' phase will take place, evaluating merits such as prior teaching experience and academic training, with a final score weighted two-thirds for the opposition and one-third for the 'concurso'.
This year's call introduces changes to the scoring system, awarding points for passing the opposition phase in up to two previous selection processes of the same specialty since 2012, even without securing a position. Additionally, for the first time, specific assessment of Digital Teaching Competence is included. Management will be entirely digital, covering applications, merit submissions, and results, in collaboration with the Digital Agency of Andalusia.
Conciliation measures are maintained, such as the recovery of breastfeeding time or postponement due to childbirth and postpartum within the tribunal's operational days. With the start of the exams, Cádiz joins this significant Andalusian educational selection process, which will gather thousands of candidates in university venues next month.
