The incidents occurred during the early morning of June 14th, when ten local residents filed complaints after discovering their cars had been damaged while parked. In all cases, the damage was primarily concentrated on the side mirrors, which were violently broken.
Following these complaints, officers immediately began initial investigations and inspections in the area, launching an inquiry that quickly led to suspicions focusing on a person residing in the locality itself.
According to information provided by the Civil Guard, the investigation allowed for the reconstruction of the employed modus operandi. The perpetrator allegedly struck the vehicles with his own body at the height of the mirrors until they broke, and in other instances, delivered strong kicks to cause similar damage.
The investigation, carried out by Civil Guard personnel from Jerez, confirmed the authorship just four days after the events, culminating in the suspect's arrest.
The individual is a resident of Guadalcacín with multiple prior criminal convictions and, according to information from the Armed Institute, had been released from prison only a few days prior.
The swift police action and the cooperation of those affected have also made it possible to accurately assess the damages caused, which exceed 5,700 euros. This amount, as indicated by the Civil Guard, must be reimbursed by the perpetrator as determined by the judicial authorities.
The case has generated unease among the residents of Guadalcacín, surprised by a series of damages concentrated in a single early morning, which have now been clarified with the arrest.
