During the spring season, and before the onset of the hotter months, hiking enthusiasts find the Sierra de Cádiz an ideal destination to explore its landscapes. Beyond its well-known white villages, the province of Cadiz boasts trails that captivate any visitor.
Viajar magazine has compiled a map featuring Spain's most outstanding hiking trails, selecting one for each province. In this compilation, the Iberian Peninsula showcases landscapes of great beauty, among which the choice for the province of Cadiz stands out.
The trail chosen as the best in Cadiz is located in the Sierra de Grazalema. According to the publication, "it is situated between the white villages of Benamahoma and El Bosque, in a privileged natural environment, which is precisely where the Majaceite River originates."
Regarding its technical characteristics, the magazine notes that "the hiking trail that runs along its course is one of the most popular in the area: a linear path of about 5 kilometers (perfect to complete in about two hours) and suitable for families, as it has hardly any difficulty." Furthermore, it is highlighted that "as it runs alongside the river through the forest, it is perfect for hot summer days."
