These contracts, published through the contractor profile of the Junta de Andalucía, will focus on repairing the most deteriorated sections of the road network. The intervention seeks to ensure adequate levels of safety and comfort, as well as to optimize the structural characteristics of the roads.
To implement this initiative, a comprehensive analysis of the condition of the autonomous road network was carried out. At the regional level, the project has been divided into 16 lots, with two assigned to each province. Cádiz and Seville are the provinces that have received the largest investment, due to the extent of their network and the condition of their infrastructures.
Specifically in Cádiz, the first lot, covering the southern part of the province, has been awarded to the UTE Mebisa y Jicar for an amount of 8,921,568 euros. The second lot, covering the northern area, has been awarded to the UTE Probisa y Pavimentos Asfálticos Andaluces, with an investment of 13,578,431 euros.
The actions outlined in the specifications include a wide range of works, such as repairing soft spots and potholes, milling and replacing pavement, restoring the subgrade and lower layers of the road surface, laying bituminous mixtures, sealing pavements, repainting horizontal signage, and replacing containment elements, beacons, expansion joints, and loops at gauging stations. These contracts have an estimated duration of seven months, with the possibility of extension to cover additional sections and budgets.
