The Sala Compañía in Jerez de la Frontera will host a free screening of François Ozon's film The Stranger this Wednesday, April 8, marking the conclusion of the Campus Cinema festival.

This cultural initiative is a result of the collaboration between the Ateneo de Jerez Film Section and the University of Cádiz's Vice-Rectorate for Sustainability and Culture's University Extension service. The screening, which begins at 7:30 PM, will be presented in original version with subtitles (VOS).
The film The Stranger, released in 2025, is a cinematic adaptation of Albert Camus' renowned novel of the same name. François Ozon, recognized for his versatility in contemporary European cinema, explores themes such as the absurdity of existence, alienation, and lack of communication through the story of Meursault in this work.
The Campus Cinema festival, which concludes with this screening, has returned to Jerez with the intention of becoming an annual event, solidifying the city's offering of quality cinema. The Jerez City Council has collaborated in organizing this event, which aims to foster cultural dialogue and position Jerez de la Frontera as a meeting point for the seventh art.
