Jerez inaugurates Enogastronomic Classroom to boost wine education and promotion
The new space by the Regulatory Council, funded by the Provincial Council of Cádiz, aims to consolidate the city's gastronomic capital status.

The Regulatory Council of Jerez de la Frontera has inaugurated an Enogastronomic Classroom, a dedicated space for training and promoting the region's wines and vinegars, with the support of the Provincial Council of Cádiz and the local City Council.
The mayor of Jerez, María José García-Pelayo, accompanied by the president of the Provincial Council of Cádiz, Almudena Martínez del Junco, and the regional government delegate, Mercedes Colombo, attended the opening of this innovative center. The Enogastronomic Classroom, located on the ground floor of the Regulatory Council's building, is designed to host training sessions, masterclasses, and live cooking demonstrations, focusing on the gastronomic aspects of the area's wines and vinegars.
This project seeks to strengthen Jerez's position as a benchmark in enogastronomic culture, blending rich wine tradition with modern pairing and training techniques. It will offer both in-person and online training, expanding the reach of its educational offerings.

The adaptation of the facilities was made possible by funding of 120,360.71 euros from the Dipuinnova program of the Provincial Council of Cádiz. This program, active from 2024 to 2027, has the strategic objective of innovation and economic development to transform the productive model of the province.
