The Mobile Recycling Point located in Plaza de Filipinas in Cádiz was the target of an arson attack yesterday afternoon. The Cádiz City Council has lamented and condemned this act of vandalism, which renders a fundamental public service for the management and recycling of special waste unusable.
The City Council, through its social media channels, expressed its regret over the intentional burning of the facility. Beyond the material damage, the harm caused to citizens, who lose a nearby resource for waste treatment, is highlighted.
“"This act of vandalism damages a public service intended to facilitate the proper management and recycling of special waste for citizens, and therefore harms all the people of Cádiz."
The City Council calls for respect and care for public spaces and facilities, reminding that they are resources for everyone. Collective responsibility is demanded, under the slogan "Caring for Cádiz is everyone's responsibility", in the face of actions that diminish essential services for residents.
