The province of Cadiz concluded May with an average hotel price of 148 euros, representing a 1.45% increase compared to the same month of the previous year. Despite this rise, the figure remains considerably below the Andalusian average, which reached 197 euros, according to data from the Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalusia (IECA).
In the Andalusian provincial ranking, Cadiz is positioned fifth in terms of hotel prices, surpassing only Huelva, Jaen, and Almeria. Furthermore, it is the second province where the year-on-year price growth has been the lowest.
The average daily rate, another key sector indicator, stood at 104.66 euros, a 1.19% increase compared to May 2025. In this category, the Cadiz province moves up to fourth position regionally, behind only Seville, Malaga, and Cordoba. However, in terms of percentage growth, Cadiz ranks sixth.
Beyond the rates, hotel profitability shows a downward trend. Revenue per available room (RevPAR), a fundamental performance indicator, decreased by 3.44% compared to May of the previous year, reaching 65.65 euros. Despite this drop, the province maintains its fourth position at the Andalusian level.
On the Costa de la Luz in Cadiz, the average daily rate remained almost unchanged, at 105.62 euros, a slight increase of 0.09%. However, revenue per available room in this area experienced a 2.97% decrease, reaching 67.91 euros.
By tourist municipalities, the city of Cadiz leads the provincial classification for average daily rate, with 124.67 euros, representing a 1.93% increase. It is followed by Tarifa (118.53 euros) and Jerez de la Frontera, which stands out with a 12.5% rise to 116.96 euros. Chiclana de la Frontera recorded 111.94 euros, although with a 10.8% decrease, while El Puerto de Santa María was at 96.87 euros.
Regarding revenue per available room in the main destinations, the city of Cadiz registered 92.51 euros, a 4.3% decrease. Chiclana recorded 86.98 euros, with a 6.5% drop.
Conversely, Jerez improved its hotel profitability by 2.2%, reaching 72.61 euros. Tarifa also saw an increase of 7.05%, standing at 60.74 euros. In El Puerto de Santa María, RevPAR was 56.72 euros, with a 0.8% decrease.
These May figures reflect a trend of moderate price increases in the province's hotels, albeit with uneven performance across indicators and municipalities. While average rates show contained evolution, profitability is declining in several key Cadiz destinations compared to last year.
